Introduced in EPM v18.104.22.168, Smart Query, a feature of Hyperion Smart View, still doesn’t get a lot of attention; and it should because it’s the key to a number of analytical capabilities that Essbase users never had before.
Smart Query goes beyond the capabilities of standard Smart View. To put it more simply, Smart Query is an analysis type like the Essbasse Ad Hoc query tool or Smart View forms, but the cool difference is that Smart Query focuses on “set-based analysis.”
