“Alexa, please find me the April 2018 operational expenses for IT.”
That’s right, Amazon Alexa is coming to the planning side of Oracle EPM Cloud. Besides voice interaction, the result will be “real-time information and taking intelligent action on processes & data.” The demo included a request for Alexa to give information on “how the organization is performing to plan.”
The product marketing and product development team from Oracle, including Mark Seewald, Shankar Viswanathan, Matt Bradley, Rich Wilkie, and Rajesh Bhatia shared a lot of information about what’s next for Oracle EPM. The Cloud is getting a lot of love, but Oracle has not forgotten the on-premise apps.
Let’s take a look at some of the details they shared:
An on-premise 11.2 release is scheduled for early 2019. It will include more back-end support and new features and functionality for Hyperion Planning, HFM, and DRM. If you want to know more, our team is on the ground at the conference and can give you the details. If you want to meet up, drop us a note here.
EPM Cloud is expanding and there are a lot of “coming soon” features beginning now and through 2019. Again, a lot of details the team on the ground is happy to discuss. To meet up, drop us a note here.
Oracle EPM on-premise customers will continue to receive support for “a long time.” Right now the current version of 188.8.131.52 is supported through 2020. Version 11.2 will be supported through 2030. We’ll all be retired by then.
Oracle EPM Cloud is comprehensive and proven (TopDown and our clients can attest to that.)
Customer uptake of Oracle Cloud is accelerating: within finance and beyond (yes and yes).
Adopt the Cloud to take advantage of EPM Innovation.
“Topdown, please tell me….”
