Technology: Oracle RDBMS Client- SQL Developer component

Version: Oracle RDBMS Client (11.2), SQL Developer(1.5.5)

Topic: Copying SQL Developer connection definitions between Windows user accounts

Details:

When defining connections within the Oracle Client’s SQL developer component, the saved connections are user specific, so if another user account logs into the same machine to use SQL Developer for the first time, the Connections section will be empty.  To copy existing connections that have already been defined by another user, simply copy the following connections.xml file from the user’s folder that created the connections to desired user’s subfolder. Note the specific numerical references in the folder names are specific to the Oracle 11.2 RDBMS Client/SQL Developer 1.5.5 versions, so with older/newer versions, these specific folder references may differ-

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\SQL Developer\system1.5.5.59.69\o.jdeveloper.db.connection.11.1.1.0.22.49.48\connections.xml
